well, i've reached my goal of 2000+ posts and have decided to move on.
i've never felt that i've contributed much here, anyway, and since my background is not jw, it's easy to see why some here see me as an interloper and trespasser.
i may look in from time to time and (to be polite) be involved in threads i've started, but i need to get a life outside this board.

well, in between my last post on corporate brainwashing an hour or so ago and now, i just managed to get myself a new role within the charity that i work with on a daily basis (http://www.selfdirection.org).
although not full time, i am upto 26hrs p/w.
my job title is enabler and trainer for individuals with severe handicaps and/or severe learning difficulties.

i cannot calm down at the moment because as i was cooking the tea,( sausages burgers chips beans eggs mushrooms etc) the chip pan appeared to ignite and flames ,no ,one big flame shot almost to the ceiling.i couldn't get near the cooker after i'd turned off the gas, as the heat was so intense.only my daughter with me, she started to call 999, i took over the call, trying to describe how to get to our fairly off-the-beaten track house, spelling t-h-e-n-a-m-e-o-f-o-u-r-h-o-u-s-e, heat getting very intense now, ceiling about to catch fire,spelling the name of n-e-a-r-es-t-t-o-w-n, screaming to daughter, get out of the house!
giving up with woman on phone, husband comes home, turns off gas bottle ( duh!
) beats out flames on wall.

simon for a start does not exist.i thought i met simon at englishmans doo,but i was wrong it has suddenly dawnd on me that simon was not there at all, it was all done with mirrors!i noticed that some of the other guests were very 2-dimentional,i was suspicious when matty fell over in the wind ,when i picked him up and looked from the other side he was made of carboard, and englishman is scottish!.
in fact most posters on here do not exist and are generated by a master computer in manchester.i think that maybe the only poster that really exists is me!.

now that i am d/a , i now have the freedom to walk into any church or any darn place for that matter, without being afraid the end will come.
i know of a few who go to church , but i wonder what religion you are in now, and why?
my hub is totally agaisnt going to church right now, i can understand that, i know some people come to a point they don't want or need to go.
Whos better, the chrisitan who does good knowing he will go to heaven for the good he has done, and avoids bad so he wont go to hell / be eternally executed, or the athiest who does good without any reward whatsoever, without any promised reward from a mystical being. The athiest who does not do bad because well, he dosent want to do evil, to harm his fellow man.
Who's better at what? I consider myself Christian, but for the most part, I don't do or not do because of consequences...I don't even think about it, it's just who I am, same as the athiest in your example. (Maybe it helps to not believe in a literal Hell).
Also, I think if one reads the scriptures, especially the one about Christ and tries to live the example He set, keeping it simple, then one is well on their way to figuring out, if not just getting thru life.

I've never been a JW, but I like this Board and most of the people here. Stick around a while, it grows on you.
I too believe in a personal God, but I'm not going to show my biases with specific beliefs....I just want to add, "keep it simple", be positive (believing) and as you stay on your quest, answers will come. I liked a previous poster's suggestion to read the Book of JOHN, as you would a good novel - slowly let the story distill upon your mind - it come to life and it will speak volumes.
